I haven't seen the program you mentioned yet, but I wanted to say I whole-heartedly agree. I've chosen to homeschool--not for religious reasons but for educational reasons. I want my children to learn to THINK and pursue their interests. I actually believe in unschooling and wonder what you think of that (not radical unschooling but unschooling in general). It's amazing what children learn through real-life experiences vs. rote memorization.

I have a Master's Degree in elementary education and am a firm believer in the constructivist approach when it comes to education. Here's an article I wrote about why I'm an unschooling mom, in case you're interested:
