I should have mentioned that I'm happy you are off on a quest to get in touch with old times because of something chancey that I posted.
Thanks for your reply.
I hope you are successful in finding your old friends. There's nothing like an old friend. I know that I'd give a lot to get in touch with some of mine.
.
Some were killed in the Korean conflict more than fifty years ago. Very sad.
.
But, happy times are fully remembered and that counts very heavily.

I'll be very happy to oblige...:)
Just because I'm such a great fan of this monk, friends seem to think I need statues of him! BTW, have a great hand-painted plaque on a piece of barn board that show the stigmata...actually love that one.
As soon as I can figure out where to put the picture, I send along the link!

The Stigmata!
.
I have a DVD of a movie based on the Stigmata. In fact, the name of the movie is The Stigmata.
.
What a scary movie. Maybe I'll get it out and play it this week end. Bring the pop corn.

- Should Have Mentioned
Hi Pink101, I'm sorry about some of your friends you lost from the Korean conflict.
That right, this amazing Internet has given me a great opportunity to look for old friends. I found one childhood friend in the US by chance. So far, just one. All others, no success.
Indeed, happy times are remembered, fun hours and those times we would discuss, learn about, agree and disagree, about movers and shapers, current events, trivia and some harmless gossip huh. ;) We all love music too, so a guitar came handy nearby.

I did post a picture on my topic page [http://landscaping.suite101.com] of one of my St. Francis statues. Unfortunately, topic page pictures don't enlarge.
I also wrote up a little something about your Medieval Thinkers poll and St. Francis for my blog this week [http://landscaping.suite101.com/blog.cfm...
The Feast of St. Francis is at the beginning of October, so I hope to be organized to post an article about his place in the pantheon of saints. Then, I will have more pictures and as you know the article ones can be enlarged.
Hey, this has been a lot of fun for me. I hope it has been for you also. Your Great Thinkers is a fascinating topic.

Yes, I read your most fantastic featured blog in http://landscaping.suite101.com/ You got me hooked madame: first, I spotted the divine garden statue of Francis of Assisi as your image insignia, then, I read your great rejoinder in your discussion which started when I put up my Medieval Thinkers Poll. That was really nice of you to make mention our exciting discussion in your own column. ;) Greatly appreciated Georgene.
Thanks for the added enlightenment especially about the other saints for the garden. I learnt few things again from your Landscape feature. Truly fascinating, and I'm sure my friends I've sent your link to will be greatly captivated.
Indeed, it has been great fun and motivation for me, and Great Thinkers. You've made it more so.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Pink101,
You've probably read Georgene's email and aware of the link to her Landscape. St Francis of Assisi Garden Statue is right there in that page. http://landscaping.suite101.com/ and of course, other interesting articles there too.
Cheers,
